North Petherton's Veterans are currently without any fixtures for this season. Over the last few years the Team has played on Sundays against local social sides and the odd touring side towards the end of the season. At the moment the Vet's are hoping to arrange some fixtures for Friday evenings under the floodlights. This has been suggested as a preferred day for playing games because it does not clash with the club's Mini's and Junior sides who play on Sundays. The Veterans usually enter a side into the Dubai Sevens tournament every other year, and have had some success in recent seasons in reaching 2 Shield finals. Veteran player and usual tour organizer Chris Hancock has had some requests about another tour to Dubai in 2008 and he is willing to organise it if there is enough interest. There are available bank standing order mandates if people wish to pay by this method. It may be two years away, but the total cost is such that it is worth beginning to pay now as it will be hard to afford the cost all at once.
