At the moment, like most teams in the Somerset leagues, North Petherton do not have enough available players to field a Third XV every weekend. Traditionally the side would usually comprise seasoned veterans, players new to the game, and young players moving up from Junior to Senior level rugby. Most of Petherton's Third Team players are currently playing for the club's Second XV, but it is hoped that the increase in players at the club will soon allow for some more Third Team games. There is currently no Third Team Captain, although player Clarence Clatworthy is hoping to organise some games and get together some players over this season.
