The 2010 / 11 season sees North Petherton's 1st XV competing their second successive season in the Western Counties West division. Following a respectable mid table finish last season the club are looking to progress up the league and challenge for a top 4 finish. With all of last season’s players staying together and with an influx of Colts players stepping up to senior rugby the times ahead are bright for NPRFC. The new season also brings the appointment of a new club captain with Matthew Angel stepping into Lloyd Williams boots.

Last season was a venture into the unknown and nobody knew what to expect in the division. Finishing mid table would have undoubtedly pleased many in our first season, however, the guys who trained week in and week out knew the potential within the side and know that they can achieve a lot more.

This season we are again coached by Matt Foad, taking charge for his 3rd successive season. With his help and the wealth of talent available in the club we aim to build on the successes of last season and push on up the league. This can be achieved by capitalising on home advantage and picking up as many points on the road as possible. On our day we were more than capable of beating all teams in the league last season, so this season we aim to be more consistent.
