Martock 17 v 82 North Petherton II

Following a great display the previous week Petherton 2nd XV visited Martock and were confident of performing well again.

Despite the one sided score line Martock were the first to score. Using their strong pack to pick and go they eventually scored under the posts for a converted try. Petherton replied with two quick tries and with a return to form with his kicking boot, Dan Pearce converted both.

Petherton continued to score freely with a further 10 tries and with Pearce ending the game with a total of 11 successful conversions.

Tries were scored by the returning Ben Tarr, Toby Harris, Chris Richards, Sam Tozer, Dan Pearce, Lloyd Steward, Cody Duhueame, Rob Havill scoring two and stand in skipper Russell Potter netting a hat trick!

There were notable performances from the back row and back line, however if it wasn’t for the tight 5 giving them a free reign that wouldn’t have been possible.
