North Petherton travelled to sunny Devon for their opening game of the new season. Early exchanges between both sides were frantic with the game moving from end to end.
Okehampton were first on the score board with a penalty. Shortly after this they scored the first try of the game wide out which was converted.
Pethy kept rallying but their cause was not helped by firstly losing Simon Ranson to a back injury and then his replacement, Kyle Prescott, also forced off the field with a back injury.
After a reshuffle Pethy continued to rally, making inroads several times into the Okehampton half but were unable to break down the defence and score.
The second half was a to and fro affair with both sides defending well. Pethy upped their game but were unable to cross the whitewash.
Having used all their replacements Pethy were forced to play the last 15 mins of the game with 14 men when Toby Harris was forced off the field through injury.
Pethy continued to play well and were unlucky to give a penalty away which was duly converted. The last play of the game saw Pethy attacking the Okehampton line only for the final pass to find the hands of an Okehampton centre who raced the length of the field to score. The try was converted.
