North Petherton player and Mini's coach Robert Kearle (pictured below) completed the Bristol Half Marathon on Sunday 6th September. He was running in aid of the Josh Evans Trust Fund (JETF), which has been setup in loving memory of Josh Evans by his parents Tracey and John in order to carry on Josh's enthusiasm for life by helping others with diabetes, specifically children and their families.

Rob completed the half marathon in 3 hours 13 seconds. Rob has been training hard in the lead up to the marathon; his supporters have helped him raise £650.00 for the Josh Evans Trust Fund, adding to the recent fund raising events. This money is ensuring JETF’s promise to raise much needed funds for additional equipment, documentation and support, and has already started spending some of the money raised for Diabetic Children and their Families in Somerset.

Rob said: "I was asked to do the half marathon by my best mate and his wife (Ian & Sarah Wait), who ran for the Wallace and Grommet fund (Bristol Children's Hospital) so I decided to do it and raise money for the Josh Evans Trust.  I am very pleased with my time and grateful to all my family, friends and supporters for helping me get through this and raise such a huge amount of money.  I might not make rugby training Tuesday night though depending on the few aches and pains I have acquired".
