Sunday’s Charity match was well attended and the Pethy XV ran out eventual winners 44 – 19 against a Presidents XV. The club provided a buffet before and after the game and the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

The Pethy XV was captained on the pitch by Clarence Clatworthy. It consisted of past and present players, some who haven’t seen action in a long time, some showing it and others like the Winter brothers continuing where they left off.

The Presidents XV was made up from players consisting of Bridgwater and Albion, Chard, Wiviliscombe, Taunton and Morgainians. The players and supporters raised well over £2000 for the Jim Clatworthy fund. Big thanks to Club, special thanks to the ladies who did the food, Phil Venner for his unusal fund raising, Paul Fleming for his help on the day and Gareth Cooper for his help running the Presidents XV.
