2007/08 League Structure
The Somerset One division has three new sides in it for Petherton to face in the 2007/08 season. Combe Down and Nailsea & Backwell have both been relegated from the Somerset Premier, replacing 2007 champions Winscombe and runners-up Old Sulians who have taken their places in the Premier. Somerton have been relegated to Somerset Two South after finishing bottom. Only one side has been promoted to Somerset One, and that is Keynsham Seconds who won the Somerset Two North league last season. Bridgwater Seconds, who won Somerset Two South last season, have dropped out of the Somerset leagues to compete against other National league club's development sides.
The Second team will still be competing in Somerset Three South against several new sides. Bridgwater Thirds, Weston Thirds, Morgs and Wells Seconds have been promoted to Somerset Two South, and there will now be thirteen sides in the league with the addition of Chard, Wellington, Tor, and Wells' Third teams as well as Midsomer Norton's Fourths.
