Lloyd Williams elected as First Team Captain

After current club captain James Lees decided not to stand for the job again due to work committments next season, fly-half Lloyd Williams (pictured right) was the unanimous choice at Sunday's player's meeting to take over the role for next season. Lloyd already has previous experience of the job having been the vice-captain for the last three seasons and leading the side on numerous occaisions during that time. The 28 year-old is currently one of North Petherton's longest serving players having joined the club as a junior and played in nearly 200 first team games.

Former Petherton club captain and Bridgwater & Albion stalwart Larry Steward was elected as second team captain for next season, with current second team captain Mike Chillingworth taking over as third team and veterans captain.

more players to provide the stength in depth that they lacked at times during the last year, as well as enough players to allow for the club to run a regular third team side which they have struggled to do over the last couple of seasons.

At the moment senior training is going to continue on Tuesday nights over the summer until pre-season begins properly with training on both Tuesday and Thursday nights from June 19th. At the moment Tuesday night training is going to be taking the emphasis away from rugby with some gentle running over the hills of Kingscliff to begin with followed by a kick-about at the club afterwards.
