After two injury plagued years as First Team Captain, Wayne Carter has stepped aside, and following the players meeting on Sunday morning, No.8 James Lees (pictured right) will take on the role for next season.

The captaincy of the clubs other senior sides is still to be confirmed for next season. Current Second Team Captain Rob Kearle is looking for one of the younger Second Team players to take on his role. With the Seconds currently preparing to compete in the newly formed Somerset 3 South division next season, the club is hoping to bring more younger players into the side who are capable of pushing for First Team places, and with one eye on the future of the club, Rob feels that the Captaincy should go to one of these players. If this does not happen, then Mike Chillingworth will step into the role for next season.
