Pre-Season Training

Pre-season training has now started in preparation for the 2006/07 season, which begins on the 26th of August. Training is now running every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:45. Petherton are hoping to recruit as many new players as possible over the next couple of months. If you are interested in playing for the club you can just turn up on a Tuesday or Thursday night, or contact coaches Kim O'Connor (07966 198892) or John Evans (01278 663549) if you have any queries. For all current players, this season the club wants to make a sustained challenge for promotion. It is important that Petherton begin the season strongly this year, with likely promotion challengers Old Culverhaysians and Wiveliscombe being the opposition for the first two home games of the season. The Second Team will also be competing in

the Somerset 3 South league from September, meaning that the club need more people training if they are to put out two competitive teams every Saturday. The club currently has two pre-season games arranged. The first is at home against Cornwall/Devon league side Wellington on the 26th of August, and the second is away at Somerset Premier side Chard on the 2nd of September. The league program kicks-off on the 9th with the First Team at home against Old Culverhaysians, and the Seconds away to their Wells counterparts.
