The gale-force wind played a major part in this game on Sunday. Yatton made the most of it in the first half and built up a 17-5 lead with two tries and some excellent kicking, but Pethy never gave up and started to dominate up front.
However, an injury to a Yatton prop meant that it had to go to uncontested scrums, which lost Pethy their big advantage. But they kept going and scored two more tries and a conversion for a draw.
This was a really good, hard game in bad conditions and should boost the Pethy players' confidence for their future colts' games. Try-scorers were Sam Williams (2) and Josh Perrin. Dan Pearce kicked a conversion.
