In the proverbial game of two halves at Taunton on Sunday, North Petherton Colts missed scoring a couple of tries before half time through "white-line fever" and too much individual play. Taunton scored three tries and two conversions from a lot of pressure, to lead 19-0.
In the second half, Pethy looked like a different team, soaking up all that Taunton took to them, but an inteception try by the home side put them further behind.
Pethy didn't let this get them down and dominated the second half with some excellent rugby, scoring two converted tries. Time ran out on them, but another ten minuites and it could have been a different result.
Sam Tozer and Steve Potter scored tries, while Dan Pearce kicked the conversions.
