The first game of the season for the Under 15s was a local derby against Bridgwater. Pethy played flowing rugby with backs and fowards linking well, offloading in the tackle and keeping the ball alive and away from contact. Sam Butler was the first to score under the sticks, closely followed by winger George Bailey. Both were unconverted.
By now Petherton were rampant and two more scores soon came from no.8 Ty Harris and fly-half Tom Popham. The extras were slotted over by Tom which made the score 24-0 to the home side at half time.
The second half saw more of the same for an under strength Albion side. Tries by Nathan "dobbsey" Dobbs, Ty harris, Myles Skinner, and new 2nd row Jimmy, put Pethy out of site. The most gratifying thing for me was not just the score line but the way in which we played. Lets hope we can carry on and progress even more in the coming season.
