Pethy travelled to Midsomer Norton on Sunday and came accross a very young colts team.
Arriving late and with not much warm-up time, Pethy started slowly but soon picked their game up, playing some flowing team rugby and scoring excellent tries. They became over-confident however, and gave away an interception try which was duly converted.
This woke the team up again and they responded by scoring another two well-worked tries before half-time. They then ran riot in the second half, scoring a further seven tries. The colts can now look forward to Saturday when they take on local rivals Bridgwater & Albion.
Scorers: Tries — James Popham, Ollie Steward, Arran Gibbs (4), Cody Dehume, Toby Harris, Sam Williams, Sam Tozer, Jamie Adams. Conversions — Dan Pearce (4).
