Second row Wayne Pither scored a hat-trick of tries as North Petherton 2nds gained a comfortable win 34-10 over Burnham-on-Sea 2nds in Tribute Somerset Three South - but the margin should have been greater.
Petherton dominated possession and were strong in the line-out and scrum, but poor decision-making meant they couldn't finish the visitors off in a physical but good spirited game.
Full-back Archie Walford scored a try in the fifth minute, converted by Lloyd Steward, and that should have been the catalyst for more.
Pither grabbed his first try before half-time, again converted by Steward, but a soft Burnham try left the score 14-5 at the turnaround.
Still a cutting edge was missing for Petherton but Pither scored two more tries, including one with a cracking run straight from a kick-off that left four or five tacklers in his wake.
Mike Coles, the other second row, scored a typical crash-over try and Luke Williams touched down on his debut, with Dan Steward slotting the extras. Lloyd Steward scored a penalty while Burnham netted another unconverted try.
