Report from the Bridgwater Mercury (sport@bridgwatermercury.co.uk)
First team full-back Tom Williams starred for Petherton Seconds as they edged home in Saturday's local derby at a windswept Beggars Brook.
The teenager kept running Albion's downwind kicks back at them in the first half, creating tries for centre Russell Potter and Miles McNeillie, a flanker playing on the wing.
Albion replied with tries by skipper and hooker Dave Norman and lock Adie Harris, the second converted by full-back Wayne Hill. They led 12-10 at half-time.
In the second half, Petherton's hunger for the ball was decisive. Mike Coles went over from a tap penalty and Steve Stone touched down a line-out drive. Fly-half Cameron Kirk landed a conversion and a penalty. For Albion, Jon Frost scored a try under the posts and Hill converted.
Apart from Tom Williams, the home side's stars were Mark Innalls, at lock, Potter and young flankers Ross Finlayson and Keith Robinson.
